| i kinda think that this song isnt suitable for a wedding. i mean yeah it would bbe funny but i recently just went to a friends wedding kelli thru the flowers that song is not the first song that came to mind. Ethan thru the garder thing after kelli and if that song was being played at that time i probly would have laughed very hard. |

This is a contradictory song for a wedding if there ever was one... Don't get me wrong, i love Syndi Lauper, she is definately one of my favorite vocalists, and this is an awesome song. But it's talking about being on her own and not a dependent. She depends on herself alone...
This is not the topic for a wedding. A wedding is supposed to be about two people joining to create their own world. This song is about a woman who stands on her own. She don't need a man... Need i say more? |

| "Some boys take a beautiful girl and hide her away from the rest of the world" This statement, in my opinion, indicates a man who is controlling. "I want to be the one who walks in the sun" describes a woman who is confident and admired by her significant other. Thus, giving the single women in the boquet toss strength to find a man who let's her "walk in the sun". I am still SO happy I chose this song for my wedding boquet toss. It was great!!! |

After reading the lyrics I realized it doesn't fit for a wedding. Because of the verse that states

It contradicts the symbolism of the bouqet toss of the next girl in line to become married.
