I will never forget my dad as much as he has done for our family. I really love this song. The way Holly Dunn sings this song it touches my heart and makes me shed a tear everytime I hear it or whenever I sing it. I lost my Daddy to a long 6 year battle of CANCER on December 25th 2007. I had just went through another tragedy earlier this year I had lost my Mommy on April 21,2007 as well. This just totally depicts the kind of man my Daddy was working til his had bled just to keep us 5 children fed. My Daddy was always there young and old as I may have been but he was always there to reach out and hold me and scold me for something done wrong. My Daddy was a truck driver for almost 50 years; working til his dying day, never letting his family down. He was hard and strong but caring man; never afraid to show his tears. My Daddy died April 29th of this year. A heart attack took him suddenly. Not a day goes by that I don't cry. I miss him more than words could ever say. But, the words in this song give the best description of my Daddy. I thank God that I had a close relationship with him and nothing ever went unsaid. Doesn't change the hurt. We had pictures of him at the church. Since he wasnt able to walk me down the asile my oldest brother had that honor.
