I am a teaching instructor and when it says to reverse you reverse the step that you just did. Everyone turns around which in incorrect. If you are watching a movie and you rewind to watch something again that is reverse, you are watching the movement in reverse. So therefore that is what you do with your movement. The songs does not say turn around, if it did then that is what you would do.
