I think it might work for a wedding if a person interprets it as such. Unfortunately, This song has been killed. It was so overplayed after Titanic that everyone rolls their eyes when they hear it, even though it's a beautiful song. And everyone connects it with Titanic and loss, even if they haven't seen the movie.
I don't know, I don't see a point to even getting into the argument over what the lyrics say...It's been overplayed so much that I wouldn't consider it for that reason alone. |

| This song is beautiful, but not for a wedding. I suppose it could be used as a tribute song if the mother or father of the bride/groom passed before they could see thier child getting married. If used in the right context, it could be a very touching and memorable moment that would allow the bride/groom to feel the presence of a lost loved one. |
