Actully the orignal version of this song did not have lyrics, but T.S.O (Tran Siberian Orchestra) had put words into the song so it would sound a little more comforting instead of just hearing the music, at 1:45 into the song is when they start singing. it has no lyrics friends..it's a piano piece..if you want to listen to this beautiful hymn, search for Pachelbel's Canon in D Major. It has variations in other scales but the most common is in C Major. Just type in PACHELBEL and all versions will be listed.Ask a friend who plays classic piano and he knows for sure who Pachelbel is.

Often used is movies, this will surely make your heart cry in joy as you walk down the aisle.. =)

Isn't it wonderful how some have to call this a cliche and that when they hear it played at a wedding, no thought went into the music selection. Who's not thinking? Because your tired of it doesn't me the rest of us are. Did you think perhaps that it means something to someone, and they want it played regardless of the fact that it is widely used?

Although this song has been over played at weddings. I think... actually, I'm not really sure. I love this song because of my life and what it means to my family. My parents got married to this song... my mum died when I was ten months old. So, I guess, it just means a lot to me. It's the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard.

This piece is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard in my life. In my spare time, I listen to Canon over and over again. It has inspired me to play piano so thoroughly that I could hardly believe it. I have based myself on Canon ever since my mother got me a keyboard for Christmas(the Christmas of 06' to be exact). At the time I was only 13, so for me that was an accomplishment. So here I am at 14(I just recently turned 14 on June 18th of 07'), and still I am as inspired as ever. And also I continue to base myself on this magnificent piece(I can't believe I used to like rap). When I grow up and meet a lovely woman, I will use Canon as our wedding song. Agreeing with Mr. Me. This song is fabulous. Canon in D has so many versions, it is strikingly beautiful. I am thinking of using it for my wedding. Canon in D is also the theme song where I work to convey a sense of faith, hope and love.

Even if you did not like Classical music for a wedding, this song also has techno, pop and club versions. We had it as a theme song for a bachelorette party.

I love this song very much. I'm not a classical music lover but Pachelbel is really a genius having composed this one. I listen to it almost evryday especially before I go to sleep. Everytime I hear it, I feel like I'm deeply in love. I have more almost 100 versions of it in my PC ( acoustic, piano, rock, techno, violin). "My Sassy Girl" version is the best for me.I dream of having it played over and over again in my wedding (from the church up to the reception). I even want to edit the wedding video and put Canon in D as the music background. Love you Japarsone.

It's not a Christmas song. It's a violin concerto from about 200-300 years ago by Johann Pachelbel. Like so many other Christmas songs, it was simply a beautiful piece of music that fit well with the special time of year around Christmas, so it became a Christmas song. I do agree, however, that it is nearly impossibly not to find this piece of music enjoyable. In it's traditional form, it is soothing and peaceful. There are also a few rock versions of this piece of music which are not as soothing, but equally impressive.
