Back in 1987 we were young and in love. My husband-to-be did not like the "bride song" that every bride walks down the aisle to, and it wasn't that important to me. Since Always was our song, anyway, we agreed that I'd walk down the aisle to that song, instead. It was really touching. Also, we "stole" the lovely poetry of Susan M. Shultz and read a couple of her poems as our vows! My husband's was so sweet. He picked this one that said, "I want nothing but the best for you, not because I'm perfect, but because I'm perfectly in love with you." Halfway through his poem he choked-up and started crying. It was only one of three times I've ever seen him cry, in twenty-one years!
Word to the wise bride: Wear smudge-proof, water-proof mascara if you want your photos to look good! LOL!
